Product description:

Sinomenine is derived from the vine Extracted from the dried roots of Sinomenium Acutum Rehderett Wilson. In addition to containing Igiginomenine, SinoAcutine, Acutumidine, Sinaetine, and Diginomenine, the main components of Qingteng are alkaloids, soluble in ethanol, acetone, chloroform, and dilute alkali, slightly soluble in water, ethanol, and benzene (needle like crystals)

Needle shaped crystals (crystallized from benzene). The melting point is 161 ℃, and after melting, the melting point rises again to 182 ℃. Optical rotation -71 (c=2.1, ethanol). Soluble in ethanol, acetone, chloroform, and dilute alkali, slightly soluble in water, ether, and benzene. Its hydrochloride, crystalline (water or ethanol), decomposes at 278 ℃. Its hydroiodate, needle crystal (crystallized from water), decomposes at 272 ℃. Its bitter acid salt, yellow needle crystal, decomposes at 176 ℃
