Detailed Description

It is the derivative of artemisinin. This drug is a strong schizonticide and has rapid control of symptoms by destroying plasmodium. it is equally effective against chloroquine resistant strains of falciparum malaria.This drug is intended for the treatment of all kinds of malaria patients including the chloro-quine resistant falciparum malaria patients.

Dihydroartemisinin is a semi-synthetic derivative obtained by hydrogenation and reduction of artemisinin. It is rapidly absorbed orally and has a high bioavailability.

Its appearance is a white crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in water and readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone.

Functions

Antimalarial effect: It has a strong killing effect on the intra-erythrocytic stage of malaria parasites, and can quickly control the symptoms of malaria. It is still effective against chloroquine-resistant malaria parasites.

Anti-inflammatory effect: It can inhibit the release of inflammatory factors and reduce inflammatory responses. It has potential therapeutic value for autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Antitumor effect: It can inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells and induce tumor cell apoptosis. It has inhibitory effects on various tumor cells such as lung cancer, liver cancer, and breast cancer.
